Performing live opera requires many people, including musicians, singers, hair and makeup, costumes and stage technicians. Preisser said they must be creative.

"We actually have pre-recorded audio and video choruses, and they will be projected on these large displays on both sides of the stage, which limits how many of us are in the background. The orchestra will perform live and they will be on stage, But they will spread out, and they will be behind the fabric, you know, the muslin, the falling scrim if you will."

Preisser said this is a completely different way of making live operas.

"Nothing can replace live cinema. So, although online programming has always been a stopgap for our art group, I think we are all eager to return to live performance. Therefore, this has always been our goal. We feel humble and we can continue Production, we hope we can continue to do this when the vaccine comes out, you know, there is light at the end of the tunnel."

Performance time is 7:30pm on December 17th and 2.00pm on December 19th
