As of February 1, the Ministry of the Interior (MHA) allowed 100% occupancy rates in cinemas and theaters. In the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also issued new guidelines on the functions of cinemas and theaters.

1) People who visit theaters and movie theaters must maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from other people.

2) Masks must always be used.

3) Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance and exit.

4) Strictly observe breathing etiquette. This includes rigorous practice, covering your mouth and nose with a tissue/handkerchief/curved elbow when coughing/sneezing, and disposing of used tissues properly.

5) Everyone conducts self-health monitoring and reports any disease to the state and district helpline as soon as possible.

6) Spitting is strictly prohibited.

7) Everyone should be told to install and use Aarogya Setu App.

Theater owners and film distributors welcomed this decision because they were one of the worst-hit areas during the pandemic. After a nationwide lockdown, the cinema closed in March. However, the government allowed partial reopening in October, with a seat cap of 50%.

"We welcome @MIB_India's decision to allow 100% cinema screenings from February 1st, and express our sincere gratitude to Mr. @PrakashJavdekar ji and all those who participated in the important steps to promote the recovery of the industry," the Producers Association of India tweeted Said in. .
