Now, more than ever, the world needs trusted reports, but good news is not free. Please support us by contributing.

During normal business hours, some completed desks can be picked up at the Messenger Index.

The Gem County community responded overwhelmingly to a project announced by the Messenger Index and our partner Idaho Press before Christmas. The idea of providing desks for students initiated by the Idaho news publisher Matt Davison—in the current modified classroom and learning environment, there may be no desks at home—in dozens of willing Realized with the help of craftsmen.

The purpose of the Idaho News Project is to build 300 desks for students in Treasure Valley. They received nearly 500 volunteers. They distributed their currently completed project on Saturday.

The "Messenger Index" only focuses on the needs of Gem County students. The initial target was 20 tables. With the generous help of the material supply provided by Mountain Western Building Supply, this goal was quickly achieved. We have enough volunteers to easily build 50 or more desks, but we want to determine the level of demand. Since Emmett School has been in the classroom this fall, it is expected that demand may decrease.

We currently provide first-come, first-served service desks at the Courier Index Office in Washington State N.120 from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. These desks are mainly used by young students but can be modified as needed. Children (if needed). If demand exceeds our current supply, we are obliged to increase demand in the short term. .
