East Bladen refurbishes old desks for students working from home | Bladen Journal

Elizabeth City — East Bladen High School has delivered refurbished wooden desks to parents in an effort to provide academic work areas when students are at home during the pandemic.

The first batch was delivered before Christmas. A press release stated that more work is expected to be completed this month.

The project was supported by Lowe's stores in Lumberton and Whiteville. Other people involved in the project include Dr. Jason Wray, the principal of East Bladen; Lisa Levy of Bradborough; Alexis Cox, a school counseling intern; community volunteer Anthony Thomas; Thomas Gitch (COMM)
