-Leading sleep product manufacturer BIA is the largest licensee of Eclipse International, appointing Michael Moore as director of sales, licensing and new business development, and appointing Mike Mulligan as director of operations and manufacturing at the West Coast plant . Together, they will participate in the company's development through its new factory in Rialto, California. 

During his new role, Moore was responsible for sales management and new product development. Mulligan will oversee all aspects of factory operations, personnel and raw material management. Both will work closely with Stuart Carlitz, President and CEO of Eclipse International and BIA.

Both of them have nearly 70 years of experience in the mattress industry. Both have previously worked for leading brands in the industry and have strong connections in the Southern California market.

Before joining BIA, Moore played a leading role in the launch of the Chattam & Wells luxury brand. He also served as the National Sales Account Manager at Kingsdown Inc. and served as the Vice President of Spring Air National Sales.

Mulligan started his career in the mattress industry right after graduating from high school, when he worked for a local mattress manufacturer in Southern California, known as Stress-O-Pedic for the past few decades. 35 years ago, he started working on the factory floor, engaged in raw material procurement, and then learned its business operations. Then he has the opportunity to own the business until he sells it. 

"As an operator, I am very excited about our new factory. The most advanced equipment that we will put into use at this new location will make us the most modern mattress manufacturing factory on the West Coast and improve our Quality and service standards," Mulligan said.

American Western Bedding Industries will open a new 80,000 square foot manufacturing, showroom, and distribution center in Rialto, California on April 1.

. The West Coast branch will employ 120 employees when fully operational and will provide services to retailers in parts of California, Nevada, and Arizona. 

The plant’s multi-million dollar equipment will include advanced manufacturing equipment provided by Leggett and Pratt Global Systems Group to showcase the industry’s latest manufacturing innovations and designs. The factory will produce all the company's brands.
