Florida Blue, which has been a corporate partner of Florida Theaters since 2006, has renewed its annual support for Downtown, a historic arts and entertainment venue.

When asked for details about the partnership, the theater did not respond.

In addition, a $10 million renovation project is planned to be completed before the 100th anniversary of the theater in 2027. The auditorium seat of the theater was installed after the restoration of the Jacksonville Art Convention in 1983 and is currently being sold.

As part of the renovation project, these seats will be replaced with larger and historically more accurate seats.

Other planned improvements include new stage lighting, enhanced sound systems, new HVAC, improvements to the restroom, and expansion of the space behind the balcony.
