In my room on St Martins Lane, floor-to-ceiling windows surround an oversized bed with soft white plush sheets, reminding me that I am not at home. The city looks busy and full of energy at the bottom, but at the top, I feel luxurious.

"Everything starts with a blank canvas" is the first sentence I saw on the writing board, encouraging every guest to breathe, relax and bask in the surrounding environment.

Don't be fooled by the compact appearance of this boutique hotel; my loft double room is extra spacious, with two double beds, plenty of wardrobe space, and a luxurious bathroom with a large shower and bathtub for you to enjoy. Its excellent polished aluminum drop-shaped lighting fixtures contrast with the quirky leopard-print carpet and LED color-changing lampshades, making the space look ethereal and modern, but once the sunset comes, it feels comfortable.

It is a charming French restaurant that offers us a delicious pre-theatre menu (two courses, £12.95, three courses, £14.95), and my companion said that this is the best chopping board he has ever eaten. And if you want to get drunk after the West End,

) With the best daiquiri (in a jam jar, quite a few), I have tried it for a long time.

Back in the surprisingly fresh look of Dublin, my whistle tour confirmed my true knowledge of the city: there is no place like London.
