The Sarasota Opera House was built in 1926 as the Edwards Theatre, where movies, vaudeville and other performances were held. Today, it is home to the Sarasota Opera and was completely refurbished in 2007-08 at a cost of 20 million US dollars.

With the primary safety of its customers, the Sarasota Opera House has redesigned its 2021 season, offering customers the choice: come to a theater where social evacuation is possible, or stay in the comfort of their own home and watch each show through live broadcast .

The final safety of the customer must be considered when redesigning.

The new season will include four operas, including smaller actors and orchestras, as well as audiences who keep their distance from society. The duration of each job is between 60-90 minutes without interruption. The biggest difference in the 2021 season is that you can watch programs through virtual streaming at home.
