"Children like to have a place that belongs to them, and sitting at the kitchen table, it's not theirs," Don Lewis said.

Since its establishment, Don and Deb has used his hands and money to make more than 40 desks for children. The 6-year-old student thanked Don and Deb for their generosity.

"Who would have thought that something as simple as a small wooden desk could comfort so many children and parents?" Deb and Don Lewis did.
