Ouch.

In the third phase of Singapore’s reopening, the indoor venue can accommodate up to 250 people, with a group of 50 people.

This means that many Singaporeans have begun to return to the cinema.

A strange incident occurred in the movie theater recently, when a lady was injured in an armchair lying down after watching the movie.

After the unfortunate incident, Eaglewings Cinematics provided assistance and medical compensation to injured moviegoers.

The husband of the patient who declined to be named told

They watched a movie in the Platinum Hall of the cinema at 10pm on December 18.

After the movie ended, the couple stood up and left.

The husband said this was when the woman's chair began to close automatically.

As a result, when the armchair was closed, her left leg was caught in the gap on the side of the chair.

According to reports, when her husband tried to find a way to release the chair mechanism, she stayed for two minutes.

They eventually found a button to do so, but her leg and ankle had been injured.

The couple asked for help from the staff on duty, and they immediately provided help.

Response

After the inquiry, EagleWings Cinematics confirmed that after the incident, their management has followed up the couple and is willing to pay for the bills generated by the doctor.

The cinema also clarified with the couple that the automatic return sensor function was used in the seat where the wife was sitting.

Since the incident, warnings for such seats have been placed outside each hall to remind the audience to be careful when operating the tilt function.
