The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department said at a press conference on Friday that two other Lancaster County residents had died of the coronavirus, and another 201 residents had contracted COVID-19.

The press release said that health officials identified the deceased as a woman in her 80s in an assisted living facility and a man in her 80s who was hospitalized in the hospital.

Their deaths increased the local pandemic death toll to 167. Among the new cases, Lancaster County has now confirmed 23,973 coronavirus cases.

The press release stated that Friday’s case report included a small number of cases since Thursday, but was not reported in time.

The staff of the Ministry of Health have confirmed that they have recovered 150 more times from the coronavirus, a total of 7,821 times.

Lincoln Hospital took care of 93 patients last Friday, including 58 patients from Lancaster County and eight patients on ventilators.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,023 new COVID cases on Friday, bringing the total to 174,614.

It also revised the total number of deaths in the state to 1,733.
