Like a large number of business owners, Mark Lessner, who runs several laundromats in Madison and Adert​​on, had to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you have visited a laundromat in East Madison in the past 20 years, you most likely did laundry at an establishment in Mark Lessner.

Lessner, 54 years old, began his laundromat business when he was about 10 years old, when he helped his father own several businesses in Madison. About 23 years ago, Lessner himself became the owner and eventually bought some of his father's business after the elderly retired.

At present, Lathener owns and operates two laundry basket laundromats, located on Atlas and Atwood Avenues, as well as the East Washington Laundry and the vicinity of East Washington Avenue and Milwaukee Street, and one in Edgeton. Self-service laundry. Until recently closed, Lessner operated Schenk's Corner near Winnebago and Second Street.

In most cases, we have reduced by about 20% compared to the number before the pandemic. The actual lease was originally scheduled to end in April 2021. There is no option to renew or extend, but we are looking for a replacement of the water heater, and it will not extend into April. From a business perspective, because we have two other locations within one mile of the location, this makes sense.
